It all started when my grandmother boarded a plane and flew to Oakland. My mother was born a few years after. Then I was born when my mom was 22. I live on 82nd. But the placed I lived was very violent and hot (a lot drug selling). So we lived in west Oakland (ghosttown). That was very violent also. So now we live on Fruitvale.
One word that describes my family is considerate. They are very considerate and honest. They help you when you are in need and very dependable. They will love you and wouldn’t turn on you if you did something mischievous. I love my family and they love me back. One major issue that I’m apprehensive about is misconceptions with the police department. I am afraid personally because I am a black teenager and police are shooting teens these days. I try to pass prescriptions everyday because I don’t want to fall under others prescriptions. I chose to break barriers and pass prescriptions because if you fit the descriptions and you act the way they assume you will you made their day. They feel their superior than the citizens.
College means a higher education than high school. Now you are grown and you have to maker your own decisions. You have to practice how to deal with your money. It is a choice to study your career that will choose in the future. College connects to your family because they are proud of you and they want you to succeed in life .
